People Know How

ClientPeople Know How

Branding, website design and development, editorial design, social media campaigns, video editing, and communications for charity People Know, developed with a Communications & Marketing Strategy also created for the organisation.

This brand and communications work allowed the charity to grow into a nationally recognised organisation representing social innovation and social change. Derived from the concept that people really do know how, the brand uses at its base the figure of a person as a logo and bright colours to represent innovation. From there, the rounded typography and block colours represent a friendly approach, complemented by a tone of voice that allows for friendliness, positivity and clarity without sacrificing professionalism.

The brand was applied to designs and communications across the charity including banners, flyers, publications, business cards, staff ID cards, social media and presentation and document templates.

In addition to the main brand, various sub-brands were also created including Reconnect, Positive Transitions, All Aboard and Connect Four, as well as a national campaign Connectivity Now and various strategic communications.

During the pandemic People Know How provided over 3,000 devices to the community. Originally the project did not sit within a service and therefore was marketed in the main People Know How branding, during which time I created the video below.
In addition to People Know How’s front-facing brand, I also developed a version of its brand to be used on strategic materials to cater towards a more professional and corporate audience, including in strategic plans, partnership promotional materials, recruitment campaigns and corresponding web design.

When it came to fundraising in the corporate world, the charity needed a clear and concise design to outline ways in which businesses can partner with People Know How, increasing their CSR and ESG while supporting the community.
